Houston will be a great place for theater lovers this summer

This summer the city of Houston will be host to two annual events that appeal to theater lovers of all ages and tastes.

The ‘Houston Shakespeare Festival’ is returning to the Miller Outdoor Theatre this summer for two weeks. It is presented by the University of Houston. Two Shakespeare plays will be playing on alternate nights; this year's plays are Macbeth and The Merchant of Venice. Tickets are free, but they must be picked up in advance.

Later on, it will be time for the 22nd annual Theatre District open house; this takes place on the last Sunday of August. This year there will be four participating theaters: the Alley Theatre, the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, the Bayou Music Center, and Jones Hall. Visitors will enjoy backstage tours, live performances, and set and costume displays. One popular activity is always the instrument petting zoo, where people can hold and touch musical instruments. The day will finish off with a free Houston Symphony concert.

To ensure that all Houston theater lovers know about these events, local Print companies may be asked to help distribute Flyers and Posters.
