Houston golfers will have an excuse to spend some time out on the course this November, thanks to an upcoming fundraising tournament.
The Harris Health System School of Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program will benefit from the Swing Fore the Greens Golf Tournament, and it will offer plenty of fun for all the players. It will include a shotgun start and all skill levels can participate in the activity.
Golfers who register for the day will each receive lunch and have time to mingle before they hit the course, and they will also receive a special corporate gift to thank them for their support. On-course contests are in the works, and once everyone has played through, awards will be presented to the top players in the tourney. Wildcat Golf Club will be hosting the activity, and anyone who would like additional details is asked to contact the organizers at Jeffrey.Baker@harrishealth.org.
The monies raised through the day will be used to purchase hands-on teaching equipment for the newest crop of medical imaging students in the local area. Donations to the cause and corporate sponsorships will also be appreciated.
This chance to enjoy a day of fun in the sun while helping area students hone their skills will be teeing off on November 3. The activity will begin at 11:00 am.
