A project that works to make sure no one in Houston goes hungry has put out a call for volunteers, and they will be preparing food parcels for those in need.
The Feed the City project will see volunteers of all ages organize parcels for distribution, and all assistance will be appreciated. It takes place once each month, and instructions have been provided for anyone who would like to get involved.
To take part, members of the public have been asked to purchase the items listed, and these will be used to prepare between 25 and 30 sandwiches. They will then bring them along for the event. They are reminded to ensure their hair is tied back, and bleach-safe clothes are highly recommended
Even if they are unable to take part in person, Houston residents can still help. They can prepare packed lunches in their home kitchen to donate. The event organizers have noted that food donations are preferred over cash contributions.
An event where volunteers will be on site may call for specialized paperwork. This can include waivers, Letterheads, and certificates of appreciation to hand out to thank the attendees for their hard work.
The date for December’s Feed the Need packing day will be Saturday, December 14. It will take place at Barcelona Wine Bar. Get a Free Quote for Letterheads
