When it comes to their favorite food, candy is high on the list for many kids, and a Houston hands-on workshop will see them craft sweet treats for themselves.
Papabubble Houston will be bringing kids into the kitchen when it hosts its Lollipop Class, and it is intended for children ages five and up. The registration fee is $15.00, and a wait list is in place should spots fill up.
The activity will open with a demonstration led by one of the in house candy makers. They will show how they make, add flavor to, color and then build their candy creations. After this, the kids will put on the aprons and gloves supplied so they can make their own lollipops. They will each make three, and they can choose its shape, color and flavor, and once they are ready they can take them home to keep or share with the rest of their family.
A hands-on activity can be lots of fun for kids, and they may also spark an interest in a particular hobby. Fun certificates of completion for the attendees can be prepared for an event by Stationery printers.
This chance for Houston kids to get the inside scoop on how candy is made will start at 3:00 pm on September 7th. The venue for the afternoon is located at 927 Studewood Street, Houston.
