This winter holiday season, romance is in the air in Houston, and couples are invited to stop by Market Square Park for a special activity.
What is being billed as being the biggest ball of mistletoe in Texas has been hung at the Park, and it will be in place from mid-November until New Year. This activity had to be cancelled in previous years due to the Covid pandemic, but its planners are pleased to be able to bring it back.
Couples can stop by the display, which consists of a 150-inch mistletoe and greenery ball hanging from a 15-foot-tall “candy cane,” to enjoy a kiss and maybe even a cuddle. When they do, they are asked to help spread holiday cheer by sharing some photos of themselves smooching on social media. The activity has been dubbed “Mistletoe on the GO” and it is part of the city’s holiday activities.
After the challenges of the Covid pandemic, many communities are finding ways to celebrate together once again. A poster printing company will be able to aid in spreading the word to the public about these functions, which may help to ensure they are a success.
Mistletoe on the Go is in place until January 1. Everyone is welcome to stop by, pucker up and then share the love using the hashtag #XOmistletoe.
