An organization that works to make the transition to civvy street easier for wounded veterans and first responders will be the charity of choice for a Houston golf tournament this winter.
Organized by the team at Lone Creek Events, the tourney will be taking place in December at Hermann Park Golf Course. Monies will be donated to Cowboys 4 Heroes, and the planners hope to raise at least $25,000 for the cause.
The day will open in the early morning with breakfast and time warming up out on the driving range before the players tee off. It will be a shotgun start and will follow a scramble format, and before the golf begins, there will be a moment of silence in memory of comrades lost. There will be an assortment of challenges and contests such as long dive and closest to the pin, and lunch will be served.
To help maximize the funds raised and offer Houston’s businesses a way to show their community spirit, there are several sponsorship packages on offer. These start at the $200 hole level. Promotional Products and Corporate Gifts in kind for the silent auction will be appreciated as well.
This year's Cowboys 4 Heroes golf tournament will be offering a day of fun in the sun on December 5. Tee-off time will be 9:00 am.
