The Original Greek Festival will come to Houston in the fall, with an early October date being set.
Proceeds from the festival aid many people through the work of charitable organizations, including the Children’s Assessment Center and the Texas Emergency Aid Coalition.
Having recently partnered with Greeni Recycling, the Original Greek Festival recycles viable materials from the event. Last year, over 10,000 lbs. of refuse was recycled through these efforts. These measures will continue for the 2014 festival, as well.
Vendors will offer shops with jewelry, pottery, cookbooks, clothing, aprons, Bags and other souvenirs and novelties. Imported Greek foods will be on hand to appease hungry appetites or culturally intrigued visitors. Art displays will also be part of the festivities.
Local Print companies are available to produce materials needed for the event. Poster printing is a frequent request as Posters serve the purpose of communicating the events well. They will help to attract the attention of people on foot passing by and increase attendance at the festival.
Known as ‘The Golden Greek’, Alex Kalos will provide live Greek music and the opportunity to learn Greek dancing as part of the event. This will be offered October 2 to 4 from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm and on Sunday from 3:00 pm until festival close.
