Houston will be hosting its annual Bayou City Art Festival at Memorial Park near the end of March next year.
The festival will be an outdoor event featuring over 300 artists who have been personally picked out by a jury, giving them the opportunity of sharing their work and techniques with the community. All booths at the festival will allow visitors to purchase any pieces they find appealing, while also providing a space to talk and interact with the artist personally.
Many different styles of art will be featured during the Bayou City Art Festival, including photography, painting, sculpting, and graphic design. Additionally, the event will have live entertainment for guests roaming the outdoor gallery, as well as performing on stage at the city hall tent. Food and beverages will be provided by a variety of food trucks that are located on site.
For anyone interested in volunteering to help during the Bayou City Art Festival, registration is now available on the event’s website. Activities range from acting as greeters for the event, providing relief to the artists participating, and selling merchandise. All volunteers involved will receive free admission to the festival.
The festival will be held during multiple days, starting on March 29 and lasting until March 31. Entry for the public will open at 10:00 am and will continue until 6:00 pm. The cost of general admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children, but those who order online can purchase their tickets at a reduced rate.
