Free event provides help to veterans

The Veterans Mental Health Summit is taking place next month in Houston. The theme is ‘Live today for a better tomorrow’, and it is a presentation of the Lone Star Veterans Association.

The day will start off with registration and a continental breakfast. It will then be followed by speakers from organizations such as the Veterans Administration, the City of Houston, and Mental Health America. There will be panel discussions on topics such as access to care. After that, there will be breakout sessions on topics like veterans and the legal system, how to strengthen the veteran family, women veterans, and vocational resources.

Attendees will have the opportunity to find out everything that can be offered to them to help them reintegrate back into regular society. It will be a chance for them to meet professionals who can help them, or meet their fellow veterans for support.

It is likely that many of the organizations that will be represented at the summit will be providing printed information to those who are interested. They may contact a Houston Print company to provide them with those materials.

The Veterans Mental Health Summit will be held at the University of Houston on August 12 from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. To find out the latest information about this event, visit the Lone Star Veterans Association website.
