Festival set to showcase Spanish wine and food

The Rioja Wine and Tapas Festival of Houston is taking place next month.

The festival will feature over 50 wines and wineries that will be providing samples to both trade visitors and the general public. The event will start off at 11:30 AM with a trade tasting, then VIP guests will be admitted at 1:00 PM, with the general public allowed in at 2:00 PM.

There will be two free seminars – Dynamite Diversity of Rioja and Royal Reserves and Grand Reserves of Rioja.

In addition to the wine, which will be given in two-ounce tastings, guests will have the opportunity to try some tapas, cheeses, and other foods that pair well with wine. The food will be prepared by 14 top chefs including Felix Florez, Jean-Phillipe Gaston and Brandi Key. Guests will also receive coupons for discounts at local wine stores and restaurants. There will also be live musical entertainment throughout the evening.

The event is an opportunity for Houston residents to learn more about Spanish wine. Local Print shops are often asked to provide coupons and tickets for events such as this.

The Rioja Wine and Tapas Festival of Houston will be held at The Corinthian on June 2 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Tickets are $80 for VIP and $60 for general admission. Visit the event website to learn more.
