The 28th annual Houston Children's Festival is taking place for two days next month. It is a fundraiser for Child Advocates Inc.
There is lots of fun planned during the festival that should appeal to children of all ages. More than 300 activities are expected to take place in 10 Family Adventure Zones, which include the SABIC Super Science Zone, the Child Advocates ‘Under the Sea’ Zone and the McDonald's Dream Discovery Zone.
There are also five stages that will feature a variety of live entertainment, including appearances by special guests such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Special fans of the Turtles can attend a meet and greet, for which tickets are $50. Other activities include a teddy bear clinic, rides, a diaper derby, and games.
Food and merchandise vendors will also be on hand. Applications for vendors are still being accepted. Fees for a 10 x 10-foot space are $700 until March 25 and $800 after.
Houston families will no doubt be looking forward to this two-day festival. Local printing companies will probably be asked to provide services such as poster printing to spread the word.
The Houston Children's Festival will be held at Tranquility Park from April 23 to 24. Admission is $10 in advance or $12 at the gate. To learn more, contact Child Advocates at 713-529-1396.
