Awards honor the heroes of Harvey

The Hype Impact Awards Social is taking place next month, and is a presentation of the Greater Houston Partnership. All proceeds will be donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

The awards are set to honor 11 Houston residents who went out of their way to help others during the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. Among those to be awarded are Keri Henry who arranged rescues by boat, Kat Creech and Bryan Wesley of Recover Houston who turned a wedding party in a demolition party that saved over 200 homes, and Winston Savice Jr. who saved people using a jet-ski.

Attendees will have the chance to take part in a group fireside chat with the award recipients. In addition, the Greater Houston Partnership is collecting stories from others who survived the hurricane, which will be posted on the Share Your Story Wall at the event.

Sponsorships are available for purchase for $3,000 and $4,000.

This is a networking opportunity for Houston business leaders and it is likely most of the attendees will be bringing along their premium Business Cards.

The Hype Impact Awards Social will be held at Partnership Tower on November 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 each or $35 for two, and admission is restricted to those aged 21 and over. For more information, contact Sara Berner at 713-844-3684.
