Art fair returns to Houston this fall

The 9th annual Texas Contemporary Art Fair is taking place in Houston across four days in October. It is presented by Art Market Productions.

This will be a different type of art fair, rather than individual artists representing themselves, galleries provide works for sale. Over 75 galleries from all over the world are expected to attend this year's event. It is basically a trade exhibition aimed at attracting top art collectors.

There will be special public art installations, art projects and related parties. As in past years, there will be panel discussions, film screenings and local tours.

The first evening of the fair will be a preview for pass holders only. Passes cost $100 each. General admission tickets for the other three days are $25 each or $35 for all three. Tickets will go on sale in August.

Last year, this event garnered steady sales and was considered a resounding success.

The works of art for sale will include sculptures and paintings from both established and new artists.
Fairs and other events often use brochure printing to show the schedule and detail sponsors.

The art fair will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center from October 8 to 11. To find out more about this event and the galleries that are participating, visit the official event website.
