Annual dog show returns to Houston this summer

The 38th annual Houston World Series of Dog Shows is taking place over five days this July.

Pooches from all over the area will be on hand to compete for titles such as Best in Show and Best of the Rest. There will also be plenty of activities taking place for both dog owners and the general public. This includes Meet the Breeds seminars, agility drills, flyball and frisbee freestyle, and even dancing dogs.

Additionally, there will be clinics on canine health, training and grooming, along with the Dr. Mari Jon Filla Student Art Show, and displays from various kennel and rescue organizations.

Commercial and non-profit vendors will be selling plenty of dog-related merchandise or providing information about their programs and services.

Sponsorships are available for purchase, which gives local businesses the opportunity to make their names known to an estimated over 40,000 visitors during the five days.

This has proved to be a popular event in Houston and it is likely that organizers have invested in services such as flyer printing to let people know it is coming up again.

The Houston World Series of Dog Shows will be held at NRG Park from July 15th to 19th. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, while children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.
