The Georgetown Swirl scheduled for early March

Georgetown will honor the winner of the 2012 President’s Award recipient for Best Promotional Event. The Texas Downtown Association hosts the Georgetown Swirl annually, and the Swirl committee combines with volunteers from the Main Street program to ensure the event is a huge success each year.

The evening’s events, set for March 2, will include shopping downtown and enjoying samples of top wines from Texas. Additionally, local restaurants will feature their signature dishes and specialties for all to sample from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. There will also be live jazz taking place throughout the event.

A total of 400 tickets are on sale and may be purchased online. No additional tickets or admissions will be available, so it is suggested anyone wishing to participate in this city event should buy tickets early.

Local printing companies frequently work with event organizers to provide Print services. Flyer printing is a common project as most entities use Flyers to promote an event in advance. Flyers can be posted in windows, on doors, in display areas, or hand-distributed.

Swirl wine auction tickets will be available for sale at the event or can be purchased at the Visitor Information Center on 7th St in advance. The auction offers opportunities to win over 200 favorite wine pairings. Tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20. Proceeds from the wine auction will benefit the Main Street Façade and Sign Grant Program, along with the Williamson Museum.

The Escape Fine Crafts and Gifts store was a finalist for the 2012 President’s Award for Best Downtown Business. Business owners Judy and Len Lester will serve as the honorary chairs for the 2013 Swirl event.
