Georgetown will host its 44th annual Christmas Stroll this holiday season. The event will feature a tree lighting ceremony followed by the annual lighted holiday parade.
Organizers urge attendees to come with their families to explore vendor booths filled with artisan goods. They can take part in holiday crafting while enjoying live music on outdoor stages and a dazzling drone show. There will also be a visit from Santa and photo opportunities at the end of the parade.
Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to take part in all the different activities. The nearby shops and restaurants will stay open later than usual, allowing guests to enjoy holiday delicacies and beverages. To guide guests at such events, planners can make use of poster printing to highlight vendor locations and parade times.
The event is hosted by the Georgetown/Scott County Tourism Commission, with a goal of allowing attendees stroll down the decorated Victorian streetscape and buildings. With over 200 of these properties listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the parade aims to help spread Christmas cheer to residents and visitors to the town.
The Christmas Stroll event will begin at Downtown Grand Prairie, 300 W. Main St., on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Parking will be available nearby, and attendees are encouraged to arrive by 5:00 pm, with the stroll set to end at 9:00 pm.
