New Georgetown event highlighting nonprofit organizations

Residents of Georgetown may want to mark their Calendars for an upcoming event encouraging exploration of local community services.

‘Mission in Motion’ is a new event inviting registered nonprofits serving Williamson County to engage with the community, recruit volunteers, and provide information about their services.

Attendees of the event can look forward to food trucks on site, live bands, and the opportunity to win prizes. All in addition to learning about the various represented organizations and opportunities to give back.

Events such as this often see vendors providing Promotional Products to those who stop at their booth. These small items can encourage attendees to stop at a booth they may not have otherwise given their time to.

Mission in Motion will be giving all attendees a “passport,” which can get filled out at each booth they visit. Those who complete their passports can then enter to win a variety of prizes from participating organizations. Each booth is also being encouraged to have a family-friendly, interactive activity for attendees to engage with, so there will likely be a variety of things to see and do for all interested.

The event will be taking place on Friday, September 25 in the Light & Waterworks District Plaza at 809 Martin Luther King Street, Georgetown. The evening will begin at 4:00 pm and conclude at 7:00 pm.
