Celebrating the 16th Annual Red Poppy Festival, Georgetown is preparing for the three-day event coming up in a few months.
The family-friendly festival offers an abundance of activities. Art festivities are a big part of the event offering an art contest and artists’ crafts. A parade takes place during the festival along with a car show.
Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick and Hewlett Volkswagen will host the Classic Car and Truck Show. Awards will be given out at the show for various categories.
A Red Poppy Tour offers the opportunity to visit the flowers in which the city is famous. For those wishing to enjoy the poppies in addition to getting some exercise, a Red Poppy Bike Ride will be available.
A food area will provide attendees the venue to sample a wide variety of cuisine specialties provided by the vendors.
Local Print companies can assist with the preparation of materials needed for the festival organizers and vendors. Banner printing is frequently ordered, as Banners are used throughout outdoor festivals to direct visitors to specific areas.
