When kids learn outdoors, the whole world becomes their classroom, and a Georgetown workshop will introduce parents to the benefits of this practice.
Bonnie Hahn, who is a parent educator with Bridges to Growth, has prepared a session that will introduce the topic of play-based learning. She will be discussing the advantages that can go hand in hand with the practice, and there will be time for the group to ask questions.
The activity will explain the science behind learning, exploring which sorts are best for young children. Everyone will find out how to set up outdoor areas when kids can play and have fun without even realizing that they are picking up new knowledge and skills at the same time. It was noted that masks are optional, but anyone who is ill or has been in contact with someone who has received a positive Covid test in the past 14 days is asked to stay home.
One of the components of organizing an educational event may be to order manuals and other bound texts. These can be crafted by Print shops, and they will also be able to offer promotional Pens for the convenience of anyone who would like to make notes.
Bridges to Growth in Georgetown will be introducing the topic of play-based learning on Wednesday, December 1. The location of the venue is 805 West University Avenue.
