The 34th annual Bar-bid-cue Auction is taking place this July in Georgetown. It is the main fundraising event for the area’s Chamber of Commerce.
Guests are encouraged to dress casually while they enjoy a barbecue dinner, silent and live auctions, and musical entertainment. There will be a basket raffle in which proceeds will go to five non-profit organizations, such as Georgetown Partners in Education and the Assistance League of Georgetown; tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.
There is also a heads or tails game which costs $20 per person (during the live auction, participants either grab their head or tails while the auctioneer will flip a coin); the last person standing will win a $500 visa gift card. In addition, one lucky person who purchases one of 50 slices of carrot cake will find a piece of jewelry buried in their piece.
This event will no doubt attract a large number of Georgetown Chamber members and non-member business leaders. Many of those planning to attend will likely contact their favorite printing company for more Business Cards; there will be plenty of opportunities during the evening to exchange cards with business peers.
The Bar-bid-cue Auction will be held at the Reunion Ranch on July 25, from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM. Tickets are $35 each or $300 for a table of eight. For more information, contact Allison McKee of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce at 512-930-3535.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
