The 70th Annual Georgetown Rodeo will be presented by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse in Texas later this month.
There will be many events at the rodeo, including bareback riding, Mutton Bustin’, Steer wrestling, and calf scramble. There will also be some tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing, and bull riding; all of which will be followed by a comedy act presented by Ronald Burton.
The Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association sanctions the Georgetown Rodeo, which attracts of the best cowboys in the country. As events of this magnitude require a lot of coordination and involve immeasurable detail, volunteers are needed to assist. The Rodeo also attracts many visitors through the marketing efforts of the organizers and local Print companies. Printers provide tools such as flyer and banner printing. Flyer printing results in collateral to be distributed prior to the event to attract attention and participation.
Banners are used at the event to direct motor and foot traffic to designated areas. Being made of sturdy vinyl, the Banners have a long life and can stand up against inclement weather when necessary. As there will be vendors at this event, Banners are customarily hung on the back of each booth or station to depict the vendor’s name and product.
The popular event will take place at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse Arena, which is located near to the San Gabriel Park.
Each night, the gates will open at 6:00pm, with the rodeo events starting at 8:00pm. Saturday night will feature a dance with live music after the rodeo.
