The Williamson Museum will present the Chisholm Trail Days in October, held at the San Gabriel Park in Georgetown.
Kicking off the festivities, the Chisholm Trail BBQ Cook-off will be hosted by the Service Club Coalition of Georgetown. Benefiting the youth of the city, the cook-off is scheduled for October 11 and 12 at the San Gabriel Park.
The following weekend, activities start with a Cowboy Breakfast, which will be served by Buckaroo Boys at a cost of $3 per person. Following breakfast, there will be many fun family-friendly activities, such as Takota’s pony rides, wagon rides, living history demonstrations, a children’s corral, chuck wagons, and food and craft vendors.
The food and craft vendors typically order necessary Print services from local printers. Banner printing is a frequent request as each vendor tends to use a banner as signage noting the company name and products.
Continuing the festivities, a cattle drive will take place from 12:00 noon until 12:45 pm. The Cattleman’s Ball will be held as well. Sponsors are needed for the Cattleman’s Ball and table tickets are available for purchase. More details on this can be found on the event’s website
Chisholm Trail Days in Georgetown will be held October 17 and 18. For more information on what to expect, call 512-943-1674 or visit the website for Chisholm Trail.
