With the holidays over and the new year underway, residents of the Georgetown area are looking at local Calendars trying to find events in 2016. The Georgetown Symphony Society is coming to the rescue with a very special, one-night only performance by the group Tenors Un Limited.
Tenors Un Limited is a group of three classically trained singers from London with experience in the worlds of opera, musical theatre, and recording. They decided to combine their efforts in 2002 and have been performing together ever since.
Known as ‘the Rat Pack of Opera,’ they perform a mixture of works including classical, ‘Rat Pack’ hits, and original work. They have performed all over the world, and Georgetown is one of only four stops they currently have planned in the U.S. this year. All ticket proceeds go to support the Georgetown Symphony Society.
The Symphony Society is a nonprofit group founded in 1999 dedicated to bringing classical music and culture to the Georgetown Area. It sponsors a number of symphonies and concerts year round. Their mission is to provide access to high-quality performances to the broadest social and economic range of people.
Tenors Un Limited will be performing on January 21 at 7:30 pm at the Palace Theatre located at 810 S Austin Ave. Tickets cost $50 and there will be a reception with the group immediately following the show. Anyone interested should visit the website for more information.
