A career in the trades may be lucrative, and a Georgetown activity has been organized that supports scholarships for graduates of Automotive Technology programs.
The Georgetown Texas Area Car Club (GTACC) has scheduled its 18th annual Car Show, and the fun will be on offer at the Sun City Social Center parking area. Along with the scholarships, the proceeds will be used to support other charitable causes. There will be no charge for people to drop by and view all of the entries, and meet their owners.
Check-in for the day will take place in the early morning, and voting for the competition will begin at 10:00 am. Advance registration is a must for anyone hoping to show a vehicle, and awards will be presented to the winners in several categories. Raffle and even-split draws will provide further excitement, and food and other vendors will be on hand. Clean restrooms will be on site.

The 2025 GTACC will be bringing fun on four wheels to the city on Saturday, May 3. The awards presentation is set for 2:30 pm, and registration starts at $35. A rain date of the following Saturday, May 10, has also been set.
