Georgetown planning summertime shop

Early July will see Georgetown shoppers patronize a pop-up market. Those who would like to treat themselves or someone else to a unique gift may want to stop by for some retail therapy.

The community will be “getting its shop on” when it comes to Georgetown Market Days, and there will be an eclectic mix of works produced by area artisans and makers. It is an initiative of the Downtown Georgetown Association, representing just one of the ways it supports its merchants.

The activity, which is part of the Second Saturday Market Days program, will be filled with tables manned by small business and not-for-profit groups. The shoppers can browse through everything from food to flowers, clothing, crafts, accessories, and more and live musicians will be performing throughout the day.

While this initiative may be in full swing, the Downtown Georgetown Association says it is still welcoming vendor registration applications, and can be contacted through its website. Companies that participate in pop up events often choose to save time when sharing their contact details by handing out Business Cards to the crowd.

Georgetown Market Days takes place tomorrow, June 10, but those who need more time to plan can look forward to the next date on July 8, the one after that on August 12, and other monthly dates continuing until November 11.
