Georgetown kids invited to get baking

Knowing how to cook and bake can be a useful skill to have, and the kids who attend a Georgetown workshop will discover how these activities can also be a lot of fun.

Sanctuary Holistic Kitchen will be giving kids a chance to learn the basics of baking by attending a cookie making class, which will focus on preparing and decorating holiday cookies. The event will be guided by expert chefs, and is intended for those from the ages of 6 to 14.

The pupils will be walked through the steps of preparing the cookie dough they will work with, and they will get plenty of hands-on experience.

They will learn how to bake and then decorate their cookies, and all materials and ingredients will be supplied.

A make and take craft table is also on the agenda to keep the kids occupied during the baking process. The ingredients will be gluten free, and tickets are $30.00 each.

Inviting youngsters into the kitchen can give them skills they may find helpful in later life. Recipe cards, aprons and other Corporate Gifts for an activity can be crafted by local specialist printers.

Sanctuary Holistic Kitchen will be giving kids a fun introduction to the benefits of home baking on December 19th. It will run from 4:30pm until 6:00pm, and can be found at 103 North Austin Avenue, Suite 320, Georgetown.
