The Williamson County Brown Santa program is putting the finishing touches on its Fifth Annual Givin’ and Golfin’ Tournament. The golf competition and silent auction
provide a day full of entertainment to participants while raising money for a good cause.
After a hearty breakfast, proceedings will start with a bang when a shotgun blast marks the opening of the tournament. Registered participants will get a full 18 holes of golf including a cart rental. Awards will be given out for the top golfers in each category after everyone has finished their rounds. The golfers will also be treated to lunch during the awards ceremony as well as receiving a free gift bag.
After the tournament is over, the raffle and silent auction begin. This part of the event is open to everyone, not just tournament participants. Tickets for the raffle are available for purchase in advance, or can be purchased during the day of the event. When the raffle is over, the silent auction will start.
All proceeds from the tournament, raffle, and silent auction go to benefit the Williamson County Brown Santa Program, a charitable organization run through the sheriff’s office to provide Christmas presents to needy children. The program is also accepting sponsorships for the tournament, which include a free round of golf, a sign on a tee box or hole, and an ad in Brown Santa’s newsletter printing.
The Fifth Annual Givin’ and Golfin’ Tournament will be held on June 27 beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Cimarron Hills Golf Course located at 200 Cimarron Hills Tr. West. Registration is $150 for a single or $600 for a team of four. Discounts are available for active military personnel. Anyone interested in more information should visit the website.
