Georgetown egg-cited for Easter hunt

This season, the children of Georgetown will have an egg-ceptional surprise.

The Georgetown Easter Eggstravaganza is a massive Easter Egg Hunt which promises candy and prizes for children and fun for the whole family.

The free event is being provided to all children aged 10 and under. The hunt is divided into five age groups, each of which have their own softball field to roam and collect eggs, but the start of each age group is staggered to help accommodate parents with multiple children. The typical hunt lasts between five and fifteen minutes, but families can stick around afterwards to enjoy the park.

No hardboiled eggs will be present, but instead the eggs will be plastic shells filled with candy and toys. Some wrapped candy will also be spread across the field for children to find. Additionally, there will be one prize egg in every age group. This will contain a slip of paper that is redeemable for a gift basket donated by Primrose School. The baskets are filled with candy, coloring Books, toys, and other gifts.

The Georgetown Easter Eggstravaganza will take place on Saturday, March 19, at the San Gabriel Park. The hunt begins at 9:00 am, but families are asked to show up by 8:45 am to make sure their child has a place.
