While cook offs may be commonplace, one planned for Georgetown will feature a special ingredient based upon a popular area urban myth.
The annual GTown Chupacabra Cook Off is in the works for this September, and while it will be all about having fun with creative cookery, it will also serve as a fundraiser for a cause that supports local veterans. The public is encouraged to get involved by attending the cook off or even signing up to take part themselves, and there are also sponsorship opportunities on offer.
The competitors will be using the protein of their choice to prepare their chupacabra themed dish, and these will be judged by a panel of event sponsors. Live music, ice cold beer and other fun is also on the agenda. Tickets to attend the festivities are available, and their price starts at $25.00 if they are purchased before August 31st. After that, the price will go up.
A friendly competition like this can be a lot of fun. Corporate Gifts and other awards for the occasion can be both designed and crafted by an area Print shop, which will also be able to prepare tee shirts for the event's volunteers and other items as well.
The GTown Chupacabra Cookoff will bring the fun to the city on September 12th. The Bentwood Texas Event Center has been booked to host the festivities.
