Georgetown conference will focus on feeding programs

Local feeding programs play an important role in ensuring all kids in Georgetown have access to nutritious food, and a conference will help to make sure their membership has the most up to date information in the field.

The Texas Department of Agriculture will be presenting the Community Nutrition Conference, and it will provide plenty of opportunities for the delegates to learn, meet, and share best practices. The roster of speakers includes many new faces, and it will be hosted at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center.

This symposium will include a variety of topics, and the organizers explained that many of them will be familiar to those who have attended the event as a delegate in previous years. There’s no fee being charged to attend, and it is intended for only entities that contract with the National School Lunch Program as a supervisor, business official, a child nutrition director, or a similar role.

One of the tasks of an organizer of this sort of function is choosing which swag to include in the conference packages. A company that prepares Corporate Gifts will be able to help, and will have a range of options to choose from.

This event will run from May 11 to May 14. Additional information about the activity can be found on its online listing.
