Childcare providers supply a service often vital to the economy of their community, and a virtual training opportunity is on offer to Georgetown professionals who work in the field.
The Bell/Williamson Child Care Conference will be offered online, and just as if it has been an in-person event, the participants will receive training that may be useful to them in the work. It will be focused on mental and emotional health of children, families and childcare providers, and it will share best practices when it comes to building positive and nurturing environments.
The workshops will cover a variety of topics, ranging from the relationship that exists between emotions and behavior to how play can be very important for a child’s overall mental health. Each person who completes the training may qualify for up to four total clock hours of continuing education credits, and there will be two dates for potential registrants to choose from.
While this type of event may be offered online, the participants can still be presented with hard copy versions of certificates of completion, training manuals and other items. Stationery printers can supply all of these along with any other printed materials the organizers need.
The Bell/Williamson Virtual Child Care Conference is being offered with support from Texas A and M Agrilife extension department, and those who are interested can choose from either August 7 or 8 dates. The fee to take part is $20.
