An upcoming event will help Georgetown residents burn off some holiday calories, and all ages are invited to lace up their favorite sneakers and hit the pavement.
The annual Candy Cane Course is set to make its return for 2020, and just as in the past, this Christmas-themed activity will be one the whole family can enjoy. Chip timing will be available for those who wish to measure their speed, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local community charitable partner.
Those who would like to take part in the run can choose from a 10K or one-mile course, and virtual participation is also encouraged. There will be an awards presentation, and the planners will be offering a selection of Corporate Gifts and other swag that boasts the function’s Logo Design.
Registration for the Candy Cane Course is now open, and those who are interested can select the run option that is best for them and their schedule. The staging area will be set up in San Gabriel Park, which is located at 305 East Morrow Street in Georgetown.
The date for this annual Georgetown activity will be December 12, and while registrations will be accepted up until that date, only those who sign up before December 3 will be guaranteed an event hoodie. More details, as well as a registration link, can be found on the Run Signup website.
