Fun falls into Georgetown

The Georgetown Boys & Girls Club is to host several events in September, including the annual golf tournament.

The Texas community in Georgetown is expected to fully support the activities of the Boys & Girls Club to ensure ongoing activities for the local youth.

A Silent and Live Auction will kick off the events leading up to the golf tournament. The auction will be held at the San Gabriel Community Center on September 19, starting at 6:00 pm. Many impressive items will be auctioned.

The Taste of Georgetown will also be part of the festivities, featuring local restaurants presenting their fine tapas and hors d’oeuvres. Participants will have the opportunity to sample a range of tasty temptations.

The annual golf tournament will take place on September 22, held at the Berry Creek Country Club. Teams will be competing for ‘Blue Jackets’, which are the coveted prize of the masters. The top four will compete in a special three-hole play-off. The overall winners at the tournament will receive seersucker jackets.

The registration will begin at noon for the golf event and the tournament will have a 1:00 pm shotgun start.

Golf and other outdoor events typically require banner printing provided by local Print companies. The Banners are hung high in the air to attract attention and direct traffic appropriately throughout the venue.
