Annual festival set to light up the Square

The 8th annual Georgetown Wine and Music Festival is taking place next month. It is presented by, and is a fundraiser for, the Downtown Georgetown Association.

This year's festival is set to showcase more than nine local Texas wineries, and among this year's participants are Dancing Bear, Red Road Vineyard, and Wedding Oak. Currently, there are nine wineries but more are expected to register. Guests will receive a souvenir tasting glass and a punch card that will allow them to sample wine from each of the participating wineries, plus one bonus tasting.

Guests will also be entertained by the music of the Blue Vibe Jazz Band, and guitarist and singer Terry Reinhacket. Downtown stores and restaurants will also be open for business.

The Downtown Georgetown Association is dedicated to promoting the downtown business district and provides input in state and national policy. The association sponsors several events throughout the year.

Georgetown banner printing companies are often asked to help promote events such as this and to encourage more people to come downtown.

The Georgetown Wine and Music Festival will take place at Georgetown Square on September 26 from 3:45 to 8:00 PM. Tickets are $25 and restricted to those aged 21 and up. To find out more about this event or about joining the Downtown Georgetown Association, call 512-639-8719.
