It appears that Austin-based Dirdie Birdie, an indoor minigolf and restaurant enterprise, will be taking the plunge into the Fort Worth market.
Started in 2022 by Vik and Lina Khasat, the original Dirdie Birdie was opened in North Austin at The Domain shopping center. All 12 minigolf course holes are, according to its website, unique handcrafted art installations designed to pay tribute to Austin landmarks.
From all appearances, a Fort Worth Dirdie Birdie will go into the former location of Bottled Blonde, a boisterous restaurant – bar combo that along with its sister concept, Backyard, closed at the end of 2024. Although preliminary and subject to change, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filings are generally good business and real estate activity indicators.
Banner printing services are useful when it comes to announcing a grand opening and catching the attention of passersby.
What is known for sure is that according to the TDLR a new tenant has filed to go into the 9,200-square-foot space at 2821 Morton Street location in the West 7th Entertainment District. That tenant will not be a nightclub and will be keeping the bar and kitchen at that location. Other information gleaned from the TDLR filing shows that construction at the location could start in January 2026 with completion accomplished by June.
Dirdie Birdie offers a full bar featuring craft cocktails along with, among other dishes, wagyu sliders, Nashville hot chicken sliders, and chicken tenders.
