Independence Day celebration offers a day of fun

Fort Worth's Fourth Independence Day celebration this summer will feature an afternoon filled with activities suitable for the whole family.

The event will finish off with a fireworks spectacular. Before that though there is set to be jet ski and flyboard shows, tubing, pony rides, food and drink for purchase and water slides. The Kidzone will offer bounce houses, face painting, miniature golf and a zip line. All activities are free of charge.

Live music will be provided by the Land Sharks, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band and Downtown Fever. For those of all ages taking part in water activities, tubes and life jackets are provided free of charge while supplies last.

While general admission is free, there are several VIP choices that range in price from $10 to $40. The higher end VIP ticket includes reserved seating with the best view of the fireworks, the use of a lounge, private bathrooms and a bar.

Fort Worth banner printing companies may be working with organizers to help highlight certain parts of the festival.

Fort Worth's Festival will take place at the Panther Island Pavilion on July 4 beginning at 2:00 PM; the fireworks display will start at 10:00 PM. The Kidzone will be open from 2:00 - 8:00 PM. For more information about this event, visit the official website.
