Get ready for the Juneteenth Festival

On Saturday, June 16, the Juneteenth Cultural Festival will take place at Fair Park Bandshell, in Dallas’ historic Fair Park, located at 1465 First Avenue, in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas. This festival starts at 10:00 am and will run until 10:00 pm.

This action and activity-packed cultural festival will bring together sports and media figures, musicians, fashion models, dancers, craftspeople, artists, storytellers, and delicious cuisine from across the country. At the event, guests will enjoy lively speeches from spiritual leaders, business leaders, political leaders, and normal everyday people who will speak and celebrate the freedom experienced by African Americans in Texas 147 years ago. They will share experiences and encourage guests on how to make significant and lasting improvements in the current society.

Visitors will enjoy unforgettable music, festive dancing, trendy fashions, a whole lot of storytelling, and tons of tasty food. This is a family-friendly event and no guns or alcohol are permitted on the grounds. Cooking demonstrations by Celebrity Chef Aaron McCargo from the Food Network, the Young and Gifted Concert, Let’s Dance, and the Grand Gospel Musical are featured events happening during this daylong event. The children’s entertainment line-up includes the Cat in the Hat, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and many other characters, as well as activities and entertainment.
