What's Happening in Fort Worth, TX…

Fort Worth vets offered learning opportunity

A Fort Worth area studio has started an initiative for veterans and currently serving military members, and the start date has been set for its summer-to-fall session.

SiNaCa Studios will be running its Courage Through Fire program, and those interested can register for the whole series or individual classes. Each of the classes will have enough room for up to six participants, and will run for four hours.

The 10-week initiative will teach both warm and hot techniques for working with glass, and everyone will work on various projects, some of them led by instructors. The history of glass making will be discussed, and blowing, flame working, cold working, and casting will all be on the agenda. Both new and experienced hobbyists will be welcome. A Risk and Release form will need to be signed by each participant before they begin.

Learning a new hobby can be fun and relaxing, and venues that offer this type of experience may require an assortment of waivers, releases and other specialized documents. These can be prepared by stationery printers.

SiNaCa Studios, which can be found at 1013 W Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth, will be starting its summer/fall session of Courage Through Fire on Tuesday, September 9. The registration fee is $830.00 for the entire schedule (which runs into early 2026) or $95.00 per workshop, and anyone interested can register and find out more about the program by visiting its web listing.
