According to the Forth Worth Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, the city could be in for a strong surge in tourism this year, especially if the advanced hotel bookings currently on file continue their upward trend.
An encouraging sign for Texas business owners, this signal that tourism is a legitimate money maker for the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex.
The CVB’s President, Bob Jameson reported that 8.5 million people visited Fort Worth in 2015, generating $1.9bn in spending. According to him, this signals that Texas has what vacationers want. He adds:
“The economic indicators point to a growing tourism industry here in Fort Worth. More business and leisure visitors are coming to Fort Worth, enough to fill AT&T Stadium more than 100 times a year.”
Jameson gave everyone from small business owners to marketers credit for the growth, citing a renewed commitment to nightlife and high-quality entertainment as a major factor. Indeed, the Fort Worth restaurant, theater and concert scenes have become somewhat of a benchmark in the Southwest U.S., which has caused the city’s calendar of events to practically overflow with things to do. Downtown, Flyers and Banners for rock concerts, rodeos, and rib cook-offs have become regular decoration, offering a major boost to the local Print industry.
Mayor Betsy Price also expressed satisfaction with the report, maintaining that the hard work of Fort Worth’s citizens is finally starting to pay off in dividends.Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Banners
