Fort Worth to organize non-profit BBQ competition

The Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate will be hosting a cooking competition this October at the Panther Island Pavilion.

Pitmasters of all skill levels are invited to partake in the Syndicate Showdown to see who has the best BBQ dishes. Challengers will be professionally judged on their spareribs, chicken, and brisket. There will be four winners per category and a grand prize winner for the showdown, and those who place in the competition can win money from the $12,000 event prize purse.

Live music will also be played during the showdown. This year, the artists will include Dustin Sonnier, Lauren Corzine, and The Randy Brown Show. Attendees who purchase VIP admission to the event will get access to a private viewing area for the performances.

The Syndicate Showdown is a fundraising event that helps the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate raise money for scholarships. The organization hopes to encourage young livestock exhibitors to pursue careers in the agricultural industry. Groups that host charitable competitions like this can make Posters with Print shops to advertise their contests.

The BBQ competition will be held on October 3 and will last from noon to 10:00 pm. Tickets for general admission can be bought for $25, which will include food and parking. For $120, guests can purchase a VIP pass that includes free alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and VIP parking.
