The Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth will host a fest in June dedicated to swing music icons.
The Legends of Western Swing Music Festival is a multi-day event where guests can enjoy live music while supporting a local charity. There will be several featured artists at the festival, including The Texas Tradition, The James Hinds Band, and The Texas Cowboys. The venue can accommodate up to 10 vendors in the Round Up Inn Room. Business owners who want to participate in the festival can reserve a space for $300. The price of the booth also includes two vendor entry badges.
The charity that will benefit from the music festival is the Gloria’s Joy Foundation. The organization provides customized cowboy boots to wounded veterans for free. The foundation also created the GJF Benevolence Fund to support Western Swing musicians who face life-impacting events. The group was established in honor of Gloria Joy Miers, who was the founder of the festival. She also used to be the producer of the fest.
The swing music festival will be on June 16 and June 17. General admission to the fest will cost attendees $45 per day. Those interested in attending both days of the festival may pay $80. Organizations that host concerts and fundraisers similar to this may use poster printing to share their upcoming programs at places like community centers or libraries.
