Rahr & Sons in Fort Worth will be holding a social run/walk this August to celebrate National Ice Cream Sandwich Day.
Runners of all experience levels can join Rahr & Sons Brewery in a physical community activity where people can run or walk along a course of about three miles long. The business will offer those of legal age three free brew samples once racers complete the event. A hot breakfast will also be served once the walk/run is finished. The organizers have set up two water stations on the course to help participants stay hydrated during the activity.
The brewery has a monthly running club where the company organizes themed events to help train people for the Rahr & Sons Oktoberfest 5K. The social walk/runs are held to celebrate occasions such as National Donut Day and the 4th of July. The activities are not timed and are held on roads that have not been closed. Poster printing can assist breweries like this with advertising events to people on community boards.
The social run will be held on Saturday, August 1 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Tickets to join the activity will cost people $25. Dogs will not be allowed to attend the event. No refunds will be given to those who register for the running session. The next themed activity after this will be held on September 5, to celebrate National Beer Lover’s Day.
