The 3rd Annual Honor Ride Clay Hunt is scheduled for Fort Worth in the spring of 2015. The event is to honor the values and services in the memory of Sgt. Clay Hunt, who was a U.S. Marine Corps sniper that served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Ride 2 Recovery strives to offer resources for improving the wellness and health for healing heroes. Physical and mental rehabilitation services and programs concentrate on cycling for the main activity.
Fundraising efforts from the Honor Ride Series will benefit the cycling programs as well as the Spinning Recovery Labs found at military locations throughout the country. Local rides through the organization are also regularly scheduled.
There are several corporate sponsors involved in the Honor Ride events, including United Healthcare, Raleigh, USO, and United. Sponsorships often help to pay for materials such as Flyers, Posters, and Banners. Local Print companies are actively involved in handling the printing orders needed for each event.
Various ride distances are available for registration for the event, including 23, 35, and 65-mile routes.
The Honor Ride Clay Hunt in Fort Worth will take place on April 18 at the Coopers BBQ in the Stockyards.
