Lena Pope will hold a fundraiser at Joe T. Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant and Fiesta Gardens in Fort Worth.
Fiesta de Oro is an event where people can have fun at a party while learning about the resources and services offered by Lena Pope. Several raffles will be held at the fiesta to help raise money for the organization. There are many prizes to bid on at the event, including a dinner and concert package for a Jason Aldean performance, tickets to a Texas Rangers home game, and a landscape makeover from Calloway’s Texas Nursery.
Lena Pope is a nonprofit group that offers family and child services to provide members of the community with a strong foundation. The resources from the group are intended to improve the emotional, intellectual, and behavioral well-being of children. The organization was established in 1930 by Lena Holston Pope. Lena Pope’s current chief executive officer is Ashley Elgin. The nonprofit offers many programs, like the Teen Skill Building Group and Project SAFeR.
The fundraiser fiesta will be held on Wednesday, April 17 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Those interested in participating in the event’s raffle can purchase tickets for $100 each. People who cannot attend the fiesta may still support Lena Pope with an online donation. Nonprofits in charge of similar activities can raise awareness for their resources with banner printing services.
