Residents of Stephenville and other nearby cities such as Fort Worth, Dallas, Dublin, and Comanche will have the chance to attend Texancon - an anime convention that is to be held at a local university.
For those not familiar with anime, walking into a convention can truly be an awe-inspiring site as many of the participants are likely to be in costume, portraying characters from their favorite Japanese cartoon or comic. Contests for the best cosplay, or costume, will be available for eligible participants.
Vendors for different merchandise, including comics, video games, movies, and clothing will be in large supply in the convention's dealer rooms. Tournaments for trading card games and fantasy sports games will be available for competitive convention participants. Many more activities will be made available as the date for the convention moves closer.
The organizers of the event will probably begin flyer printing as a way to advertise the event around the nearby Dallas and Fort Worth area. Those in attendance of the unique convention can expect to see a plethora of costumes, parties, dances, and contests, on top of many other different activities.
