LST Marketing and Trade Group have come together to form eGency Global to fill a marketing gap that neither company was able to address alone.
The popularity of e-sports is exploding and eGency Global has been formed to assist e-sports teams and other stakeholders, such as leagues and venue owners, to keep up with the swiftly changing e-sports landscape.
For those unfamiliar with e-sports, it is video game multiplayer competitions played in front of an audience by amateurs or professionals. Specific e-sport event fans are generally ardent players as well and every bit as enthusiastic as those of any other Dallas sporting event
Originally, competitions were held in garages then upgraded to bars and then movie theaters. Today, they are booked into places like Grand Prairie’s Verizon Theatre and the Los Angeles Staples Center.
Trade Group has put together some of the biggest e-sports tournaments in the U.S. and LST Marketing is a sports marketing agency. Their creation, eGency Global, will be the first agency dedicated solely to market and promote e-sport events, and Promotional Products bearing the company name will likely become a familiar site in some circles.
An e-sports competition lasting several days can pull in tens of thousands of fans and fork out prize money in excess of $2m. New teams and leagues are being formed all the time and venues specially designed for e-sport competition are being built.
