Real estate experts predict 2020 Dallas home prices to go up

Dallas’s booming housing market will, according to experts, carry on in 2020 and outperform much of the county this year.

A report put together by Zillow predicts where home values are expected to increase, and Dallas has landed a spot in the top five. The report is based on the ratings of 25 American cities by 110 U.S. real estate experts and economists.

The results named Austin as No. 1 for home value growth with Charlotte, North Carolina as No.2 and Atlanta, Georgia, and Nashville, Tennessee in the third and fourth spots respectively. Dallas and Phoenix, Arizona tied with Dallas for the fifth spot.

“House for Sale” and “Sold” Signs created by local Print shops do double duty; they promote the realtor as well as the property being sold.

Zillow anticipates home values across the country will go up by 2.8% in 2020. All the major cities in Texas are expected to experience home value growth. Ranked lowest among Lone Star cities, it is anticipated that Houston home values will either keep up with the rest of the country or lag behind.

Interestingly the No.2 city, Charlotte, is the sole city expected to experience a decline in home prices in 2020 and as unlikely as it may seem, the bigger tech hubs in the country, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Jose, are all predicted to have falling home values in 2020.
