Plans underway for huge Dallas snow sports resort

It appears that by early 2026, the winter sports enthusiasts of Dallas may have a choice between enjoying activities such as skiing on the New Mexico or Colorado slopes, or doing so right here.

The McLean, Virginia-based Alpine-X has plans to open two Texas snow resorts, with the Dallas and Austin markets being the most likely locations. Bode Miller, former alpine ski racer is one of the company’s backers. Although no specific sites have been selected, Dallas is a hot contender.

Each Alpine-X Indoor Snowsports resort will offer an indoor snow area featuring dedicated zones for “snow play,” snowboarding, and skiing as well as lessons. Also on hand will be an indoor adventure area, food and beverage options, and a full-service hotel.

Long before a new endeavor opens, promotional Pens heralding its approach may appear.

Alpine-X issued the following statement regarding its plans in Texas:

“We look forward to providing the Alpine-X experience to communities in Texas — locations typically without snow or convenient, year-round access to snow sports. Our resorts will be designed for the entire community and offer experiences for everyone, inside and outside the snow dome, regardless of skill level.”

The company is presently looking for investors for its resort concept, which foresees including over 20 locations in metro areas scattered across North America. As of March 7, the company had over 1,000 investors and had raised almost $966,000 of its goal of $5m.
