A Dallas hotel near SMU, immediately north of Mockingbird Station, is getting a whole new identity with renovations by the Chicago-based Convexity Properties and will anchor a 12-acre mixed-use newly formed development to be known as Eastline.
The Magnolia Hotel Park Cities was renamed the Beeman Hotel at Eastline on November 1 but so far only the name has been changed. The hotel, located at the intersection of N.Central Expwy and Twin Sixties Drive will not be completely renovated until June 2020. The Beeman plans to remain in operation throughout the entire makeover.
Highlights of the renovation will include a 12,000-square-foot event space, an update to the hotels 297 guest rooms, a fitness center, the addition of a lobby lounge, a business center, a grab-and-go market, café and indoor pool.
The address for the Beeman Hotel has been placed on a variety of Business Cards over the years starting with the first hotel to stand here, the Radisson Inn. In 2012, a printing refresh would have been needed when the Radisson was converted into a Holiday Inn, which in 2015 became the Magnolia.
The Renovation of the Beeman Hotel will be the first phase of Convexity’s development of Eastline. Along with the hotel and office buildings, a 28-story luxury apartment tower, already under construction, is anticipated to open at Eastline in 2021.
