New manufacturer sticks to Dallas

A global leader in adhesive manufacturing has opened a plant to produce floor preparation products and ceramic tile adhesives here in Dallas.

The recent opening of Bostik’s Dallas facility follows on the heels of inaugural plants in Brazil, Malaysia, and India. The new plant will serve as a counterpoint to Bostik’s existing manufacturing facilities in the U.S. The products manufactured in Dallas will be for tiling and floor preparation, and are based on the company’s Polymer Modified Binder technology, which is the focus of Bostik’s ongoing research and development efforts.

Senior Vice President-Americas Bob Marquette referred to Dallas’s booming new construction market and pointed to the convenience of having production facilities near the demand centers. According to Marquette, the new Dallas plant will benefit the local construction industry in a number of ways including reducing freight costs, superior on-site technical service, and fast delivery, as well as a centrally located warehouse.

Bostik offers state-of-the-art onsite training at the Dallas plant that will include hands-on instruction. In all likelihood, Brochures will be made available to all interested parties. Additionally, with the assistance of a booklet printer, even more detailed instructions could possibly be available. Training events will be held on a regular basis and will be organized with distributors, specifiers, contractors, and other industry stakeholders in mind.
